Help me figure out something about hosting

ServerMatrix and ThePlanet have very bad support.

ISPrime are one of the best hosting companies.

Support is also very important, but I can't complain about servermatrix support, every support ticket I opened I got a reply and got help.

But the main question for me is about speed, should I move my stuff to another company, and would I receive faster hosting by doing that?
And which companies has the fastest servers and good reputation?

I need advice from experianced webmasters who knows a lot about hosting.

Hey cash, speed to all your surfers is about pipe, peering and routing. Not about servers. A slow machine will nick you a little but usually low prices are about full pipes, full pipes mean few peers. mayn will say they only have "premium" verio or level 3 or whatever. by the one trace i did, it appears that server matrix is hosted in a Theplanet facility. so maybe they have a gig connect to them or who knows, they are thus only as good as the planet.Thing is, maybe they have great server admins, so that can be a plus. Hard to say. I have12 peers out my main hosting facility in LA. The others in LA and in SF, seattle and vancouver have similar. What that means is that I connect directly to aol, not through level3. If i need to connect to level3, i am directly connected to them. Difference is we are an isp. I would think isprime is the same, but not sure they would have the same massive peering. could be, i just don't know them. After a few traces it looks like they have some peers too. Anyway, sooner or later you get what you pay for. It can run great for a long time, but can they re route you and your customers when shit goes down? I have guys who sell hosting out of my network. They are awesome admins and add service and value to my offerings. That service is worth money though. Just my BS network musing for the day.

If you want to run a large Thumb TGP with high traffic (i.e. 100k+ per day), then ThePlanet's speed is great.

I really don't like SM/TP when it comes to technical support as of late. TP, which usually has great tech support, has been backlogged with all the new customers following the opening of their datacenter. And since SM always receives second support priority, you'd be screwed. As far as I'm concerned, SM is only useful for their unmetered boxes.

In Septemer 2005 somebody use my creditcard. And I lost my money.
No any viruses, keylogers in my PC - i check it 3 time. Adaware, Spybot remover + AVP.
Why i think that is mistake of www.layeredtech.com - becouse in paylist of virtual credit card was use a name what I use to registrate to www.layeredtech.com.
