      I logged in earlier and it said the site would be down for maintenance, I guess they're randomly selecting people to ensure it's really them during this time.

                      i didn't get that.. but thanks for making this thread, i just noticed Optyweb tried to charge my paypal debit card $120 for a server i canceled last month

                          you probably got some spyware that wrong a different ip for paypal in your hosts file...

                                              PayPal has gone down for maintenance every Thursday for years like clockwork. However looks like like they are trying to get people to confirm their identies to make paypal a safer place.
