Computer power on problem...

    Computer power on problem...

    I had a old PC that I wanted to plug in and get some files from, so I unplugged the cables from my current PC, and plugged them into the old PC. After I was done, I plugged all the cables back into my current PC, pushed the power on button and it wouldn't come on. Now, I've had this problem before with other PC's and I would always unplug everything and replug it back in, and it would work. This time it isnt though... I've tried unplugging everything (power cable, mouse, keyboard, ethernet, ect) and replugging it back in multiple times. There is a green flashing light on the back of my power supply that blinks even when nothing is plugged in..

    Any ideas on how to get this fucker to power up?

      kick it in the junk..

      you sure its not your ethernet light lighting up when its unplugged?

          This might be a stupid question, but do you have a 'kill switch' or anything on your power supply, and if so, is it set to the right position?

              I'm positive. The blinking light is on the power supply, right where the power cable goes in.

                      Only switch I see is the little normal red one set to 115.

                                  I would pack it up and ask for warranty..unless you built it

                                      sounds like a cable came off in the case when you moved it

                                          Check the power supply website for a manual or other info to see if the blinking light means anything.

                                              yea depends on the make of the Power Supply. I've seen very few P/S that has lights on the back, unless it's redundant. Could indicate a power supply failure, but again check your manual or look up the manufacture on the web. I've also seen very finicky power supplies before that require you to look at it the right way.
