More true, yes...but still, depending on a calculator is just trouble...trust me.Originally posted by Za HaTrue, but that is mostly true when you play high limit poker... not when you play like $20
Its like going into a test with a cheat sheet to push yourself over the edge but you actually know most of the info...you end up spending so much effort on trying to secretly look at your cheat sheet that you get your mind out of focus on what you're doing...trust me...better to just do a little approximate mental math and go off of your skillsComment

The great thing about playing online is you can have all kinds of cheat sheets at your side if you can't remember all the odds etc.
This is just one more tool you can use.
Now for the argument that you're playing the cards and not the man, in low limit games and I'm talking anything below $10/$20 that's all you should really be doing.
No one at a low limit $2/$4 table or even an $8/$16 table live is interested in your moves.
Check raising the turn on a bluff when a scare card hits does not push people off of top pair, 2 pair or a draw to what they fail to realise is probably a one or two outer since 1 of their outs might complete a flush, while another gives someone else a boat.
At low limits you should just play straight forward poker making sure you're getting the correct pot odds to justify chasing your draws while not giving out the proper pot odds for others to chase theirs.Last edited by eroswebmaster; 05-31-2005, 12:59 PM.For rent - ICQ 127-027-910
