Ignore it, is what I'd do. Make sure nothing is in your name and go to court defending yourself. They spend a few hundred grand and you spend nothing.

If you lose, file for bankrupt. You'd have no money for them to collect.

Lookup the rules for going bankrupt and see if this would put you in the clear. If you'd still have pay someday then hand them the domain.
