While I haven't talked to Donny about this - I don't know what his motivations are. He is probably hanging out here because he counts many of the people that post on the board as friends.

While I'm not a theologist or even a very enlightened person when it comes to all of the various sects - - I understand that some religions (such as catholicism) believe everybody is a sinner and you must repent to God and ask for forgiveness. And it's also part of the Catholic (and judeo christian) culture to spread the word of god. Only Donny can answer why he's hanging out here... but it might be that he accepts his friends faults / sins ... realizing that everybody sins and that he is no different. Maybe it's a sin he has decided he isn't going to commit any more but that he isn't going to judge other people for committing it. OR maybe he's posting here and telling people of his rebirth / awaking ... as a way to try to show some other people that you always have the ability to chose another path. I don't really think it matters what his reason is for deciding to continue to post here (god knows there are enough people that aren't in the industry that filter through here). I've always thought he was a nice guy and I for one, wouldn't mind hearing updates from people that have come and gone from the industry.

I tend to ramble and for that I'm sorry ... but the last point I want to make is that I don't believe what I do is a sin. at least it doesn't violate my sense of right and wrong or morality. I take softcore / masturbation pics of college girls. I believe that the girls I work with are smart enough to make the decision... they want to show off their bodies and express their sexuality. And for the customers that are buying my content... I'm giving them a release for their sexual energy. Somebody might say that desire and lust is a sin. I don't feel the same way ... I think it's a healthy and positive thing. The most righteous and moral individuals - are still turned on by something - be it a romance novel, "desperate housewives", maxim magazine, the delivery guy, your spouse or signifcant other. sex is a healthy thing. masturbation is another outlet for that energy. and porn helps facilitate some people's fantasies. just because we profit off of that... i don't believe that makes us sinners (note I also don't think masturbation or lust is a sin) ... anymore so than I think the producers of desperate housewives, or the editors of cosmo are sinning by making their material sexy and suggestive.
