Did u guys jump right into porn when you started? Seriously. Didn't you have other jobs before you went full time with this? I think it is like anything else... you gradually take the steps. Did you just decide one day that you were going to do porn full time and then up and quit your job the same day? Probably not and that is not what donny is trying to go either. He simply just does not want to shoot anymore and do this business for himself. He doesn't dislike the industry as a whole he just hates how it made him feel after doing it for 8 years. I am sure we will all get the answers we need when HE figures them out for himself.

I love that. Isn't that point of view precisely which makes it so easy for non-believers to be so disparaging about organized religions?

Surely that is why we have the contradiction in terms of Christian fundamentalism: people who are turned on by the old fire and brimstone but prefer not to be Jewish, so they call themselves Christian and simply ignore the new testament. I know there is the get-out clause that we can repent after, but how can you genuinely repent something you knowingly did (or didn't do) over and over?

Actually I think your mistaken. Based on what he said to the girl on phone calling for a job he has a low opinion of the industry. Now considering he is going into one of the slimiest fields in the world, he shouldnt judge a soul but ********* is a porn hate group. I would be surprised if he didnt turn on us eventually.

people are being way too hard on Donny - he never said the industry or porn was evil - he comes from a background with a pastor as a dad, that never leaves you, i'm sure for the last 8 years he thought every day about what he was doing, whether it made him bad or not - and he was involved in the porn industry on a level 95% of webmasters never touch - actively recruiting girls into porn - pretty innocent stuff he shot but it's still porn - if people think there are thousands of girls knocking down people's doors to get into nude modeling/porn - it's not so, you are doing a sales job on them and yeah sometimes it does not feel good because you know she's probably not doing it for the right reasons - i don't think it's anything terrible because i've arrived at the conclusion that the girls who get into porn all come with their own baggage - doing porn isn't the first mistake they've made and it won't be the last - it's not like you are taking some innocent college freshman who was headed for a medical degree, a great husband and family in the future and seduced her from her path to success and a healthy successful life. and he never said he was buying hook, line and sinker into the born again christian world - so he has no problem interacting and hanging out with porn people - maybe that will change over time - who knows

While I haven't talked to Donny about this - I don't know what his motivations are. He is probably hanging out here because he counts many of the people that post on the board as friends.

While I'm not a theologist or even a very enlightened person when it comes to all of the various sects - - I understand that some religions (such as catholicism) believe everybody is a sinner and you must repent to God and ask for forgiveness. And it's also part of the Catholic (and judeo christian) culture to spread the word of god. Only Donny can answer why he's hanging out here... but it might be that he accepts his friends faults / sins ... realizing that everybody sins and that he is no different. Maybe it's a sin he has decided he isn't going to commit any more but that he isn't going to judge other people for committing it. OR maybe he's posting here and telling people of his rebirth / awaking ... as a way to try to show some other people that you always have the ability to chose another path. I don't really think it matters what his reason is for deciding to continue to post here (god knows there are enough people that aren't in the industry that filter through here). I've always thought he was a nice guy and I for one, wouldn't mind hearing updates from people that have come and gone from the industry.

I tend to ramble and for that I'm sorry ... but the last point I want to make is that I don't believe what I do is a sin. at least it doesn't violate my sense of right and wrong or morality. I take softcore / masturbation pics of college girls. I believe that the girls I work with are smart enough to make the decision... they want to show off their bodies and express their sexuality. And for the customers that are buying my content... I'm giving them a release for their sexual energy. Somebody might say that desire and lust is a sin. I don't feel the same way ...
