If we find out that there were several people that knew about his actions and turned a blind eye to it then they could be in some real trouble and it will cost them at election time. If that is the case and I am a democrat I would not shut up about it. Just keep reminding the voters that the repub leaders knew this guy was being inappropriate with kids and they did nothing about it and that can't be acceptable.
