Supposedly Lucas said he changed it because that was how Darth looked before he turned to the dark side and was how people would want to remember him. Aparently you enter the afterlife in the state that you were in while still using the light side of the force. Obi Won and Yoda never used the dark side so they look older (kind of a burn) and Anikan appears the way he did just before he turned to the dark side.Originally posted by NoCarrier

I'm not a huge SW fan, but I hate when directors fuck with their old, classic movies. In the newer DVD versions of the Godfather, they've added some lame musical tracks over scenes that used to be quiet, it fucking sucks the big one.
I think Southpark had an episode that touched on this. Just because you're the director, doesn't mean you should go back and fuck with your old classic movies. They're classic for a reason, just leave them alone!Comment
