Na.. Florida is OK apart from the government and hurricanes. Part of the reason for the humidity is the eco-system it once had - sad to see the Everglades and other areas get badly screwed up.
If you want real humidity - pop into a real rainforest
Still itching from the insect bites from a rainforest trip a couple of days back - but awesome place. Saw three pairs of Red McCaws (estimated there are only approx 600 pairs left in the wild), a few snakes, plenty insect life, many toucans and several groups of monkeys, a couple of crocodiles at the water edge and the ass end of a young jaguar who seemed to be lost and hollering for it's parents.
