Anybody worth a damn can build up a site regardless of the name and 20k just for a generic name is waaaay overpriced. Even 1k is over priced in my opinion, but then again, some people jsut have money to burn so you might get it if the bids on your auction are real

For sure, that opinion is held by the overwhelming majority of people in the adult industry: all names are equally brandable. I would go a step beyond, it's held by an overwhelming majority of small businesses in general.
Frankly, it's one of the major reasons why you see such churn in adult, sites being commissioned and de-commissioned faster than one can track. A few companies such as Playboy(R) buck that trend by focusing on the brand. And, they rake it in

"Brandable" and "generic" are opposites, not interchangeable.
