I have 2 custom made suits from Thailand, best fucking quality ever. A suit like that would costs 1000's here. I paid 1000 guilders something for the 2, which is 400 euros something which is 500 dollars something.
I haven't worn a suit more than a couple of times since moving to Kansas, but I bought Gieves and Hawkes tailormades for years and still have two. They used to cost about $3,500 each (in the UK), although that was with 3 pairs of trousers (I hate throwing out a perfectly good jacket because the trousers are worn). I also have a half-dozen Marks & Spencer off-the-shelf suits which run about $650 with 3 pairs of trousers. And I have one Canali suit I got talked into at a Harrods invite evening. I'm not sure how much that cost, but I think it was around $800.
It struck me when I "dressed up" for my wife's graduation last week, that I was wearing a tie which cost more than my whole outfit generally does these days. I actually didn't own a pair of jeans until I came here
Don't wear suits anymore. LOL But when I did I liked Armani's the most and had a few custom tailored which costs you, but you really get the best fit that way.
Jeez, when I started a thread awhile ago titled "girls, what is your favourite brand name for jeans?" where I posted which brand names I liked I was called a "shallow materialistic whore", but when guys post how much they spend on their suits or cars, of course it is ok.
the dead guy in my car trunk has a nice suit which I'm going to wear, the jacket has a 9mm hole but I can always cover it with a handkerchief or a carnation
