Thank you all for the input!

I will be speaking with Greg Thursday evening once he has had a chance to review the latest release version and notifies me that we are compliant with the written regulations. We expect to have an online demo available next week. Just a matter of coding and security.

Patents have been filed and we are waiting on the Patent Administration now.
Sales of the program to begin in June. We want to Beta test the new version thoroughly before releasing it.

This has been a lot of development work for us and the program has proven its strengths.
Gecko Productions LLC has entered nearly 1,000 models into the system and has approximately 130,000 images ready for encrypting the copy right data into.

This should prove to be a very useful tool to both producers and webmaster. We will be offering two versions:

Producer ? design for a producer that knows the talents info, production info and distribution.
Producer?s version also tracks talent agencies, health test, talent payments and prductions they appear in.

Webmasters version ? design for the webmaster that knows where he / she got the content and little more than that. Designed to generate reports that can be sent to producers as CSV or excel files to aid the producer in filling in the blanks to help make you compliant.

If a producer and webmaster both use the software the blanks can be filled in very easily and updates to both user software will occur.

We will keep you informed of the progress as we proceed.

Heh guys, I applaud this effort and hope somebody gets one out the door. I promised to post my own free 2257 system soon, which I may not be doing now considering by Sunday I may not need one myself anymore.

Just a side note - as a software developer consultant for fortune 100 corporations, I can assure you that none of these systems is worthy of a patent. It would fail most of the tests for a patent. Thats not to say some idiot at the patent office would not give one out someday, but it would not ultimately be upheld. You can't patent putting a bunch of pictures and some text into a database.

Patents are the dark side of the software industry, almost always misused. The government already told everybody to go out and use a database. Its not a "novel idea", unless you store online holigrams of the models pussy or something truly inspirational like that.

My only comment from the screenshots is that the regs are clear you cannot mix in a bunch of other records - like the agency stuff in the screenshots, the files have to be 2257 related only.

Where do you enter the URL locations of the content?

PS: it does look like a great system, very nice work!

Part of the database changes we are up dating right now is the section connection content to URL and the date it was published. We waited on these two aspects to see what the final rules ended up saying.

Posts: 343 I have been BETA testing this for a year now - shooting holes in the software from a website owner perspective.

It covers the regs. and it was designed to handle our 3,000,000 image, 5,000 video library with room to grow.

This is not a fly by night just popped up venture (we have been doing business continuosly since 1999)

That said - I do not have any financial interest in this software, nor does any company I am employed by. And I do not give any legal advise.

Good stuff, a lot of people would think that people making 2257 scripts would be competing against each other, and perhaps... I guess they are. But the truth is that there's plenty of room for multiple scripts... the key factor being that they all have absolutely everything they need to be compliant.
So it's best to help each other, check up on each other and work together.

This is a true software system running on Windows XP or Server 2003 with .net 1.1 support. We use Microsoft SQL Server for the database.

This system is design to run in a workstation environment with multiple work stations writing to one server with the ability to back up to an off site location.

It can also run as a stand alone system under Windows XP.

This is the designed to manage an Adult Production Company.
The tracking of Talent Agencies, Health Test, and Compensation to the Talent is in the software, but runs as separate screens from the production and distribution screens.

We are finalizing a lot of details. We originally planned to launch this software on June 26th, 2005, but the signing of the new rules is pushing it all forward.

We just weren't ready for the rules to be signed this week.
A LOT still going on with the software, website, ect.

I haven't posted more yet - witing for Greg P to review thenew version put on the server last night. Once I know I have his seal of Approval we will be discussing more of the details. Want to make sure we are covered before Iget to involved in discussing it.

Jeff from OCL (MaxCash.com) has been testing it from a webmasters point of view and we are waitingfor his feed back on the changes to the software as well

The question has been asked about pricing. Can you please post a ballpark number. Will this be a monthly fee or a one time fee? I know you can't get into exact numbers, but I find it hard to believe that your company has not yet discussed payment options.

Just trying to get an idea.

From what they told me, there will be different options making it affordable for everyone that wants to be serious about recordkeeping.

Interesting. All this software coming out is good... but everyone should still be sure to consult an attorney on their own. just because one attorney gives it the green light doesn't mean another will. 2257 is open to interpretation, and I'm sure there will be many views!

The posted individuals are not the only ones working on 2257 software.
We released our first version of our software (2257 Register) August of 2004 (after the new regs were first proposed)

From that point until now we have been doing research, and in light of the current state of law, will be releasing an updated, advanced, and completely new version very soon.

I am sure we can all present products that will make all of us compliant and free from the DOJ - Let us not lose sight of the ulimate goal here

The answer to both questions is yes.
Being a true database products additions and subtractions to the product are simply a matter of updating the database. Also changing form Producer to Webmaster or Webmaster to Producers is simply a matter of updating the fields in your version and then filling in the balnks on previous data inputted or proceding forward wwith the new data containing the new fields.
