Don't end up like this:
That's my dad after he'd been intubated and almost died from emphysema. We'd actually given up on him at this point so he was high as a kite on morphine (morphine suppresses your urge to breathe so we only used it as a last resort so he could enjoy his last days).
He did die four years later -- it was very hard to watch, but even harder were the years he was on oxygen and struggling. It's not like you suddenly just DIE of this, you SUFFER FOR YEARS. It sucks. Good luck again with quitting.
