    Totally.
Can't wait for the little addendum that includes American Citizens. Then the "black baggings" will be even more prevalent.

After reading about and hearing an interview with Maher Arar, it's pretty fucking scary what can happen to an innocent person under such a regieme.

Innocent software engineer gets shipped to Syria and tortured because he was falsely accused of having ties to Al Qaeda.

And guess where they will get their fuel to push for that "little addendum"?

Oh yeah...John Walker Lindh. Welcome to Nazi Germany...please enjoy your stay!!

My heart bleeds for the people who have been inprisoned and tortured for the past 5 years that actually didn't do a fucking thing.

                Seriously.

I'm not even a conspiracy nut or anything, but it gets a little scary when when a law like this passes and then government actions from movies like V For Vendetta start to look plausible.

Now where the fuck did I put my tinfoil hat...... ;)

I'm not either lol...that's the thing. But as soon as you disagree with something as UNCONSTITUTIONAL as this bill, you're labelled Anti-American, Conspiracy Nut, Bleeding heart, etc etc. by these fucking nutcase sheeple.

I don't mince words...I hate ALL government. They are all liars and thieves. Dummycraps and Refucklicans alike...But this bill is just unreal.

Also, what's even scarier, is they voted down an amendment to this bill that would disallow such tactics as rape and disfigurement...they figure...if you're going to torture...why draw a line...wheeeee!!

That didn't stop Sen. Arlen Specter (news, bio, voting record), R-Pa., from offering an amendment that would have restored suspects' habeas corpus rights. It was rejected, 51-48.

The overall bill would prohibit war crimes and define such atrocities as rape and torture, but otherwise would allow the president to interpret the Geneva Conventions, the treaty that sets standards for the treatment of war prisoners.

The red cross said like 80 percent imprisoned as terrorists during the war are innocent. Countries and people were paid bounties so lots of people were named who did nothing so they can get paid. Also what makes this country great are things like habeus corpus, we have some fear and take it away. It shows the world we are weak and dont stand on our principals. Terrorists main job is not to kill people its to create fear so the system breaks down. Yesterday they succeeded.

Pakistan 'bounty hunters' sell 'terrorists' to US

                          Sep 29 2006

                          icWales

AMNESTY International accused Pakistan today of abducting hundreds of people, accusing them of terrorist ties and holding them in secret locations or handing them over to US authorities for money.

Pakistan?s routine practice of offering rewards running to thousands of dollars for unidentified terror suspects has led to illegal detentions of innocent people, said Claudio Cordone, senior director of research at Amnesty International.

?Bounty hunters ? including police officers and local people ? have captured individuals of different nationalities, often apparently at random, and sold them into US custody,? he said.

I sincerely hope that one day you are wrongly identified/imprisonned as a terrorist ... and never charged .... You would hear me laugh right up to your cell in gitzmo....
