She's the one they call when they can't afford Penelope Cruz.

We call her the "Not Penelope Cruz"

There's a ton of actors who are the substitute for the real ones.

BTW Spanglish ending was soooo unsatisfying. WTH

I disagree about the ending. It was narrated from the point of view of the child. The whole premise was about family love. If he (Adam) would have gone with Flore, it would have been like every other "leave the bad wife for the pretty girl" movie. It was a breath of fresh air that he didn't fuck her and stayed with his wife that made a mistake.

A few minutes? I watch the whole movie thinking it was her.

Sidenote to bopha's statement that the ending was "soooo unsatisfying",

The last words scripted from the film were from the child's essay, "my identity rest firmly and happily on one fact; I am my mothers daughter.

Thinking back to the movie it all made sence. Good flick.
