Most LCD monitors will have a few dead pixels in them. My F-419 has the least (2), my dell monitors have the most (about 4 each). They are not noticeable unless you are using a dead pixel finder. Shitty, shitty LCD monitors will sometime have dead pixels all in a row, rarely even a whole line of dead pixels (that is an entire line on your screen will = dead pixels, very easily noticeable and very annoying).
You can try to ‘pop’ the dead pixel by using a very soft lint-free cloth or a plastic ziplock bag (or any other clean plastic bag). Gently massage the dead pixel and the area around the dead pixel. I’ve gotten rid of a couple of dead pixels that way. The other way to try it is to use a program (as already suggested) that will flash random colors (RBG) on your screen. I’ve yet to get this to actually work but some have said it did work for their psp… so take it with a grain of salt.
Good luck!
