The coefficient of friction takes sliding and static friction seperately.
Sliding friction does not depend on the size of the contact area and so the force of friction does not vary with the area of contact between the two objects.
Everyone with a felchlight has the same coefficient of friction, whether they have a 2 inch dick and 6 fingers, or a 12 inch donger and an extra digit.
