TRUE!!! When I found out what my parents and neighbors in my hometown were paying I almost fainted. They pay more in property taxes than most people in the U.S. make a year.

For that kind of money I told them that the school tax alone every fucking kid in the schools should come out an Einstein.

If the graduate with an IQ less than genius they should be ground up and used for fish bait.

And that house has no basement, a 70X70 plot of land,,,$8400 per year in taxes.

10 years ago you had your choice of any house in that neighborhood for $79k
That shit is breaking my heart! You are sooooo on target with that Quimby. ( not THE fredquimby of Tom&Jerry fame? )

It's brutal to hear from folks on Long Island who can't afford to live there anymore. Entire neighborhoods uprooted and it's moving fast like a plague.

House Size: 1373 sqft << That's a mini.. even my apartment years ago was bigger than that so if that small house cost 200,000 a decent sized one will definitely be over 350k. Anyway, a decent size house on a decent size lot/landscape in toronto would cost you over 1 million for sure so guys don't move to Canada yet

I think it was Henry Ford who said that after the elevator operator in his building was giving him stock tips.

this market is not volatile at all..

that woudl imply there is a rise and fall..there is only a rise in real estate prices.

Coastal california will always be a gold mine, unless they start building underwater homes, there is limited beach real estate.

it's 1375 sq feet - not a big house. garage makes it looks bigger.

Good point. But Prop 13 in California keeps prop taxes in check. Still... if you got a 1M+ home, that's $10K just in property taxes
