    healthcover in costa rica?

    whats the story for peeps moving there?
    do u get covered in CR or u need to get cover from your home country?

    i heard everyone can get health cover there, but so far have been unable to find anything online to verify that.

                  There's plenty of health insurance companies that will cover in latin america, including canadian, american, and latin american based ones. Plans vary of course, I pay $350/yr or so for up to $500k coverage anywhere in central america. The first 6 months here I was buying a travel package from canada that was pretty much the same, $90 for each 3 month block, including coverage for 48 hours in the usa for when I was flying.
