I think the original post was genuine, and he has stopped all donations.

What you did when you were in trouble was very respectable and very commendable, but some people need and will take outside help however genuine it is. This is a family which has ripped apart not by money, but by fear.

Im sure if those who donated, now want their money back in the long run I would expect no carrier to give it back.
