those are CNA's (certified nurses assistants). They get the crappy jobs (literally! lol) LPN's are just under RN (registered nurses). they pass out meds, document progress & such, give shots, etc. They dont do the bitch work, as I call it. I could never be a CNA for a job. They do everything from give baths and clean up puke and shit, to post-mortem care. But in order to register for the LPN classes, I have pass the CNA class (under 2 months long).

The LPN course is 1 yr, full time classes.
