Hm .. I still don't understand the American health system. In Australia, for starters there is free public health - no cost for anything. But granted, that system is pretty shit and a fair waiting list.

Private health insurance, however, is quite reasonably priced and covers all things like this and there are family rates and tax benefits.

As I understand it, health insurance or what not in America is based on the employer or something?

Either way, I really feel for this. Life is priceless and it must be unimaginably frustrating knowing that there really is a price.
