Anyone remember Don Lapre ??

He actually was my client buying 900 lines from me....i showed him the 900 number business back in 1992 ;-) then next thing i knew he was selling the extensions of the lines i was setting up for him....damn iam getting old!

Yeah, I believe so. They changed to 011Guru or something. I don't believe they are online anymore.

yep saw the infomercial the other night at like 3am. No mention of his name until you called the 800 number. But the way the infomercial was run, you could tell it was his work

Dunno if anyone remembers, but before the "You can make TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars from placing TINY CLASSIFIED ADS" campaign, Don Lapre was on TV in another crappy infomercial.

This one was selling some $40 book in which he told you how to track down people who were owed refunds on prepaid mortgage insurance, and somehow trick them into giving you 40% of the refund they were owed in exchange for telling them where to file for their refund.

That scam didn't last long either.
