    paysite owners, is this smart?

    i was talking to someone, and their affil program hosts all their paysites on one server.

    is that really wise?

    what would happen if something happened to the machine.

    i know you have backups, but wouldnt it be wise to spread it out over many servers.

      when server crashes it hurts even if it's just 1 server out of 10 . as for these guys it looks like they are small so they dont need more than 1 server .

          I'm surprised a large paysite can operate on just 1 server, can't be that large in my opinion?

                          i've got tons of boxes. everything should be split up. tours, MAs, fhgs, free host accts, mail, content server, etc etc etc. actuallly even for fhgs i would only host one or two sites fhgs and freesites on each box.

                                                          I have 1 paysite on a dedicated server and all my other sites on a different one.

                                                          No way I'd put ten paysites on a single server.
                                                          Sleep well, and dream of large women.
