It's amazing how you see these people on talk shows, and shows like "big spender" who got into debt in college and at 20 something years old, just making minimum payments, they'll be paying off debt until they're 80. BUT, try to get them to stop shopping, or stop going out to dinner, or stop going to starbucks, or turn off their cell phones and cable and they just DIE, lmao!!

So I'm from the old mindset and it works for me, so allow me my little pride if it's all the same ;)
Haha, you just described my sister. She's a single mom who is a teacher working on her masters... She has done very well for herself. I'm proud of her. But at the same time she has a brand new car and is always late on her bills. She makes pretty good money. Spends a lot of money eating out, on coffee, clothes, etc... A lot of things she doesn't need. I'm saying, with what she makes, she shouldn't have any problem paying her bills and living comfortably. So I have no sympathy for her problems. She brings it on herself. I lived with her for a short time and didn't pay rent, but I actually have more spending money now that I moved into my new apt and pay over $500 a month on rent plus utilities. Crazy eh?
