1. You can't use tampons overnight unless you want toxic shock syndrome. People use pads overnight. People also use pantiliners as a backup in case the tampon leaks. Tampons leak a lot and you need to use a pantiliner if you got a heavy flow.
2. Sometimes people are too lazy to bathe every day, what can I say. I think bathing every day is excessive
I prefer how the Europeans do it, bathe every few days I guess.
I can't imagine someone wanting to use a tampon if they just work from home all day. If you just stay home it's easier to wear a pad and forget about it.
