I have it, it's solid. However, it needs decent light control in the room (no direct sunlight) and there's a superior version of the tech arriving soon (1920x1080p resolution versus the Wega's 1280x720p).
I would still pull the trigger today if given the choice, I bought mine in late 2003 when it first arrived on the scene. But I am definitely looking forward to the 70" 1080p Wega units that will arrive within the next 12 months at a sub-$10k price point. Food for thought.

Do a search for Hitachi Ultravision, it is their comparable line of TV's. Same technology, but the optics are actually made in Japan. It also has better styling than the wega, oddly enough it looks MORE Sony than the wega!
I got a 60" sitting in my living room. The picture is darker than the Wega.. wasn't my purchase decision, but a decent TV. Also look at Samsung's DLP shit.Comment

I just ordered a 1/5000 ratio 60"inch plazma LG. Awesome beautiful image. And a really nice Black. The LCD TV's can't do Black which is there downfall but the LCD's will overtake plazma in the future I believe.
Nice TV, can't wait only 10 more days till my plazma is delivered.
