    Republicans want to expand Patriot Act to strip courts of power

    The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee is working on a bill that would renew the Patriot Act and expand government powers in the name of fighting terrorism, letting the FBI subpoena records without permission from a judge or grand jury.

                                              Ok whatever. Actually I'm a INDEPENDANT( because I can think for myself ) I have been a registered republican at on point in my life. So I think I can speak about them. Your stupid whale comment is suppose to lable me as some Liberal. Hmmm I'm against most affimitive action, I for states rights on many many issues, I'm for parental notification when it comes to teen abortion and I'm for the total abolition of Social Security but I'm a "liberal". Hmmmmmmmm OK.

                                                                  My point is that the patriot act is going to effect EVERY american in a negative way and the democrats do not oppose it in any meaningful manner. But they spend gobs of airtime talking about gay marriage which only effects a miniscule portion of the population. Think about it, gays may be 5% of the population and out of that only a handful even care about getting married

                                                                  The point is, the democrats aren't here for us on this issue at all. They put up smokescreens to pretend that they represent us. It's freakin sad. Nobody is standing up to Bush. Makes me think both parties are the same

                                                                  Personally, I don't give a care if two homos wanna get married (none of my business)
