I wonder how much something like this costs an hour to run....

**MaDalton** · 05-10-2013, 09:50 AM

yeah, well, i said "can" - not "will" ;)

**dyna mo** · 05-10-2013, 09:52 AM

that would be a pretty fun jet to have to goof off with!

**L-Pink** · 05-10-2013, 09:54 AM

Not ready to down-size. Thanks though.

.

**globofun** · 05-10-2013, 09:55 AM

Do they offer Obama as an extra? Without the Prez on board it ain't Airforce One.....

At best this plane flew vice-présidents, secretary of state, or chief of staff...the Prez doesn't fly in secondary planes.....unless the main aircraft(s) would be grounded.....

**dyna mo** · 05-10-2013, 10:07 AM

auction also includes 2nd dc-9 ready for assembly

ASSOCIATED SPARE PARTS INVENTORY LOCATED AT 3280 U.S. HIGHWAY 70E, NEW BERN, NC 28562. THIS AIRCRAFT WAS PART OF AIR FORCE 2 AND MAY HAVE ACTED AS AIR FORCE 1

Each trip probably costs $100k in fuel anyway. Buy someones tour bus instead.

**onwebcam** · 05-10-2013, 11:13 AM

Dan Parisi from whitehouse.com should buy it

Yes indeed since it sounds too good to be true.

**xNetworx** · 05-10-2013, 11:58 AM

Some airplane collector is going to buy that

**Dankasaur** · 05-10-2013, 12:06 PM

This plane is a collectors item... Nobody who isn't an idiot would buy it and fly it anyway.. It'd sit in a hangar on show.
