                                      It was released in a bunch of countries today, not only France. Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland (french part) and others also.

                                      The reason is the standard release schedule in those countries. New releases there are on wednesdays, where most other countries do them thursdays.

                                                  maybe that is because of the alegory about the dark side of the force , darth vader being strangely similar to GWBush , the democracy slowly cjhanging in dictature under the cover of fabricated wars , all for profit etc etc , you guys should listen to the latest lucas interviews, the paralels are astonishing , even thought he wrote/ thank the stories because of the vietnam war
