Good Wide Angle Lens for VX2100??

I need a 'good' wide angle lens for the VX2100 that doesn't vignette or fisheye. Want to spend about $300 for it. Any suggestions?

Raynox is an aftermarket producer . you're gonna get cut edges. (ie: see the corners of the lens when viewing without tv safe zone)

Best in the market .. and made for the PD series (that's the Sony Model the Vx2100 is based on .. all they share in common is the body casting) Century Optics ..
        BTW, 300$ won't cut it .. LOL .. your short 10 $

I've heard Century Optics was da shit. That one doesn't have zoom through... will that be a problem for me? My MAIN concern is EXACTLY what you were saying with the cut edges. I DON'T want that at all, since I'm using it for the web and not for TV viewing. The one you showed doesn't do that?

Alright. I figured I can't go wrong with Century Optics. Found this $525 lens on ebay for only $200, and it's got full zoom through! Thank god some idiots were bidding $20 bucks on it, so I got it with buy now.

Century Optics is the best I have found.

If you have ANY cut edges, all you have to do is zoom your lens in just a cunt hair and leave it there... problem solved, it will look past it. If you do a lot of zooms... you may have a problem.

Ok, thanks for the tip. I'll do some tests with it to see about the edges. I use to shoot with the old TRV900 (still got a couple of 'em), and it had a wider lens. I shoot lots of 'upskirt' stuff of girls dancing over the camera, and just couldn't get their face and pussy in the same shot with the VX2100.

When it comes to Consumer grade cameras . very few wide aptaptors in the under 300$ range have limited zoom thru s ... With the century you'd probably be able ot zoom almost ahalf way .. 3/4 with the raynox ..

I've been shooting video for 17 years .. professionally .. and have used just about every lens out there .. If you want a zoom thru for the 2100 .. go for a anamorphic lens .. the advantage is that you'll have a better 16:9 image too ( should you want to trick people into think your broadcasting Hi def on the web )
However the lens will run ya a bit over the $1000 mark
