My Laptop Died: Error message any suggestions?
Working away, multiple windows open, dah dah dah,
BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH
Then, all I get is:
"Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt:
<Windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.
Am I totally screwed? Is my laptop fried? Will I be able to recover my documents & email files???
