I think in mostly has to do with your idea of ugly, everybodys standards are different. My idea of a hot girl may not be the same as yours. I think the cliche Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is truely proven with the internet, I don't think any photographer is going to shoot a girl he knows is ugly to try to make money. You may think she's ugly and others might think she is hot. I've shot girls who I thought were OK but nothing special, but when others see the pics they rave about how hot the girl is.
