Wow this thread brings back memories.
Contra rocked.
Mentroid was super fun.
Zelda was my first RPG.
Double Dragon was a great 2 player game.
Kid Icarus was addicting as hell.
I'd say my overal favorite is probably Zelda. When I first played it I was hooked forever. I played that game non stop till I finally beat it.....and then I found out about the secret second version of the game if you named yourself "Zelda" at the start.
I think I got my first Nintendo when I was like 10.
