don't hate on members they will expoit any open hole they can find. I recommend improving on technology, in particular membership/password management and security. you could set some limits, like 4000 logins in such a short period of time is outrages and could be limited. additionally no multiple simultaneous connections per member, or very limited number. or simple flagging an acount if it logs in from different countries in short periods, etc etc. there might be password protection solutions for paysites out there.. .02C's

Did it occur to you that maybe his user/pass was brute forced by someone else and has been posted on one of the password boards and that he's just the victim? This happens all the time to innocent members and a new user/pass needs to be issued. If he had really been sharing his user/pass do you think he'd actually email you? You need to get a system in place to cut off the user/pass well before that much has been downloaded.

This happens more than people realize. When I receive an email from an angry member being blocked (we use password sentry on all the sites), I respond to why it happened. 1. Password sharing. 2. Username/password was brute forced. or 3. He was signed in using too many computers (could be a dial-up/aol user). I reset their password and flag his account for future use. 90% of the time, it's from password sharing and I don't get an email from that member. The other 10% is from members who are on dial-up/aol and need their password reset again.
