    Please explain the bitcoin phenomena

    I know what bitcoin is. What I don't understand is why is it increasing its value, where is exactly the increasing demand? Or where is exactly the scarcity?

    And, who buy those things? How can it be used?

    And, how is it that many people here have so many bitcoins? I mean, I did not know many adult companies that pay affiliates with bitcoins, or users that pay with bitcoins, or anything.

                                  I don't know too much about it, but just like any other system it can be exploited for profit by those who are savvy with it.

                                  I don't see the payoff worth of the effort for myself personally. For those of you getting your panties in a bunch about the rising "value" of bitcoins, don't count your chips until you leave the table.

                                      step 2: watch the value increase to $xxx
                                      step 3: sell off initiall investment
                                      ???????
