I'm with Izzz and c-lo -- plus, sigs tell you things about the "people" on GFY, (especially in those cases where I've never met them, nor even spoken on the phone) about which you know little or nothing.
Sometimes sigs annoy, sometimes they enlighten -- but, in all cases -- they TELL.
