    Is Microsoft Windows XP Professional 64BIT Edition a free upgrade?

    I hear if you have a legit copy of XP pro,,,you can get the 64 bit upgrade free?

    any of you ladies know anything abt this?

    They are not charging a premium for 64bit versions so I suppose the license should be interchangable

        why would you want it? Not even any 64bit software out yet.

        I waited, 6 months to a year before I do a major up-grade to my O/S, 2 many bugs

          if you get the new 64 bit os make sure you have 64 bit drivers availible for ALL of your hardware. Otherwise you will be having a not so good day.....
