    It was as easy to hook up as a VCR or DVD player. Downside is that I had to run a network cable across my office, no wireless.

    Plugged it in, and was up and running within 5 mins. Downloaded the latest software update automatically, and was watching porn within a few mins. Quality was good, better than expected. Porn chicks look terrible on a 27" tv! Small lag when flipping through the "channels", but not bad. Remote layout is slick, minus the big XTV on it. Movie selection seems good, as long as they do not repeat too often.

    Overall, I am very impressed. If these guys can get these in the hands of consumers, they will be hooked. I can see this being big if they can just get it in front of the eyes of consumers.

    Box itself is small, and simple. My suggesting would be to remove the bright blue XTV light from the front. That way, people can have it in their TV cabinet, and nobody has any idea what it is.


    Will report back next week when I have a little more time to use the system and play with it.

                                                              I'd love to see this product integrate wireless so that it can be used on a TV in another room. I try to keep TV's out of my office for productivity reasons.

                                                                          The solution is a wireless game adapter .. the same kind used to make a PS2 or XBOX wireless. Our next generation box will solve this issue.

                                                                                  European market is already in the works ... XTV is going global! Customs shouldn't give us too much of a problem, we're an IP set top box. Mainstream skins will also be available soon!

                                                                                                          I have large 21" monitors too but it's nice being sprawled out on my couch watching my 50" LCD TV.

                                                                                                          Regarding the "porn box" comment ... XTV is currently the first of many networks being release by Interactive Television Networks (ITVN). The other networks are non-adult and provide the "plausible deniability" you would be referring to .. sorta like how Cable and Satellite companies hide their adult PPVs.

                                                                                                          I would say to trust me when I say there is a MUCH BIGGER PICTURE involved but then again you've already shown that you've failed to read between the lines ... so why bother

PPV porn is around $12 a movie. Adult movies cost between $40 and $200 for decent ones. Porn rentals are $5 per day. People LIKE WATCHING PORN ON THEIR TV. Some cable services only show the rated R porn even on PPV. This shit will sell hand over fist.
