A little (or not so little) bird told me about the mention of the ex-partner comment, and being as obnoxious as I am I just had to comment!

In my defense, she was that big when I found her!

In one way I did "feed" her, because for the year I was
there my credit cards purchased groceries for the both
of us... When I started asking about using some of the
money coming in from the site and videos to pay off
my personal credit card debt, it seems that I became a
liability. Obviously I left, and left behind all the camera
equip, all the videos, and any chance of getting all that
debt paid off...

It's my fault, I've learned never to use
personal credit on someone else, no matter how much
you trust them to pay you back. I've got all the
credit card statements to prove that I paid for
the equip and trips to the grocery... A lot of good
it does me to have paperwork when I could not afford
a lawyer to help me get it all back!

I have let people believe what they want about that
situation without saying a word about it since leaving
in Aug. of 2000... Even now I don't want sympathy,
I just want CREDIT FOR MY FUCKING WORK.

I'm a little jaded now, less trusting, and it took me
2 years to let myself get into another serious relationship
because of what happened. When I see or hear about
my ex partner playing the victim role, I feel somewhat
compelled to point out who got the money, who got
the equipment, who STILL owns the site, who owns
and runs the business. I have evidence of who was
left with the debt, who can't use tens of thousands of
images, and who started over from less than zero.

Why would I walk away from all of that? You don't
want this post to get THAT LONG!

You know people where I live who have known me a
very short time, and you can trust their word if
I show them documentation to back all of this up...
One individual has already seen the vast catalog of
images that I can't use on my current website because
somebody could not be happy letting me do my
own thing using my work created with a camera
that I purchased.

It's ok, I've worked for years
to bring myself back on the web to try and get my
"dream job" back once again. The best revenge
is doing better...

I am nothing if I am not an artist, and I will continue
to live poor and humbly work hard in the hopes that
one day my acheivements are merely recognized even
if I can't get rightful compensation for past work.
