Giambi was the start of the downfall of the Yanks. Broke up the incredible team unity that they had prior to his coming.

I can agree that the Giambino is a washed up piece of shit, but I don't see your beef with Alex. The guy leads the majors in homeruns and is batting .304 Who wouldn't want that, or Randy Johnson. Who will win close to 20 games this year with the yankees. I liked soriano a lot as well, but when you have to make a choice on arguably the best player in the game, as to someone who could get to that level, not to mention we needed a third baseman, it really isn't a hard decision
If anything I would be pissed about the signing of Brown and Wright. You replace clemens and Andy with the human dl list (brown) and a guy the braves wanted nothing to do with (wright) because of his glass arm. Fuck, the guy failed his first physical.

come on now, it's about titles, they didn't need arod to win a title and they don't need him now. they pay him 5 times what soriano gets and for what, 5 more homers and 15 or 20 more rbi's. soriano is up and coming and a much better team guy who was already there and liked. randy johnson is washed up and wasn't worth 1/3 of what they paid him. top that with the 3rd man in the garbage trio and there you go a big fuck up of a team that won't win a title.Originally posted by ShagpipeComment
