Don't you know what "freefall" means, what this word stand for? FREE FALL is FREEEEE fall!
even there were a 2 second delay per floor, the buildings would have been collapsed a lot slower!
but now delay -> free fall -> detonations
it's simple logic. do you use it? ;)
