I think it's important to keep such domain names as short as possible because many people can only write very slow on their cell phones or PDA's.

Mobile is of no real interest to Webmasters because in the US there is no real money to be made from it in comparison to what you guys make on the Net.
In Europe Mobile is a phenomenon with huge monies to be made with HUGE investments in Press Advertising. Jamster when it first started was getting an 8:1 return on Press and TV Ad's. The reason for this was that people subscribed for ONE ringtone but were caught in a subscription service billing at £3-£6/week recurring on the mobile phone. This saw Jamster making £10million/month at its peak.
Last year the mobile business in Europe was worth $1B while in the US it was $30m. The main reason for this is that Networks in the US DO NOT ALLOW Adult Content to be sold on the mobile phones with billing done by the Networks, which is what happens in Europe.

The Mobile Internet, WAP, is shit.
The real money is for webmasters to start adding mobile functions to their current websites and start building their mobile business from there.

Mobile internet can only become a success when it has the same capabilities as the "regular" internet. People want to visit the same sites they visit on their pc. So the mobile domains are worthless.Comment

I highly doubt it will work out like that. The point of mobile browsing is to get data quick and effectively. People wont want to waste their time typing in 30chr URLs. I do however think niche specific and down to the point mobile domains will grow as time goes by. IE: MobileGames.com / MobilePussy.com / MobileBBW.comOriginally posted by L-Pink
