I can't fucking believe this.

last week before montreal my bell express view HD receiver (sat tv receiver ) died on me. Bell wouldn't let me exchange it in winnipeg, they HAD to SEND me a new one - ok - i'm off to montreal - no biggie. they said it would be here mon.

no delivery mon. Apparently the delivery guy arrived on fri - I'm in montreal - he DOES NOT leave a note. They are supposed to.

Puralator phones me today (tues) and says come down to our office - bring ID and get your package - no problem I go down there (it's 10 miles away) - WITH photo ID and TONS of it - and they won't give me my package.

All my ID has my second home on it - my secretary works out of the office on the second home so I get all my mail and ID with that address on it.

My Name is UNIQUE (hjorleifson) and i told her who the package was from , size and what it was before she got it from the back. Obviously I KNEW the package was there cause she phoned at AT that address to come down.

As such they won't release the package. I tell them to phone the phone company - i'm listed with my address. NOPE they won't do that.

All they told me on the phone was to bring ID - I brung PHOTO ID and tons of it. My name is unique. I knew the package was there and what it was and who it was from. My name is attached to my address in the phone book. She refused to check that. They would not release the package. They said all they could do was deliver it tomorrow. I have to sit at home all fucking day tomorrow waiting on this now.

I'm soo fucking angry I could spit. and i can't even watch TV to calm down

Sounds like the employee didn't read GFY to find out just how important you are. Maybe she mistook you for some fat doofus and she didn't really give a damn. You might consider handing out cards telling people just how important you really are.

that sucks man I can't stand idiots that can't see the obvious and your name is uniqe and other than what you may or may not have gotten through there it's probably the only hjorleifson to ever go through there. Hope you get things sorted out fast. Maybe call the corporate offices and see if they can help.

So Sleazy what do you think about HD TV? I'm getting one setup soon and am pretty anxious. The regular TV shows up grainy, but DVD and HD programming is fantastic. I can't wait.

Just make sure you invest in some serious monster cables as they do make a difference in picture quality. Even a shitty cable from the wall to the box can fuck up picture quality and if you can get an HDMI cable from the box to the TV. My HD channels come in crystal clear.

There are 2 key phrases I am always equipped with in order to deal with situations like this.
1. Let me speak to your supervisor.
2. I want the telephone number to your corporate office.

Seriously when I deal with ignorance like this I shut down and just repeat these phrases over and over until they either send out the supe or give me the number.
If they send out a supervisor and he's as stupid as the person behind the counter...once again I ask that supervisor to let me speak to THEIR supervisor.
I do this all the way up the corporate ladder until I get satisfaction which is about 98% of the time.

I remember one time I was trying to purchase something at a store and the clerk tried to claim the price tag had been switched..it was a clearance item and was the only one left. The manager wouldn't sell it and customers behind me were arguing with the manager as well..LOL anyway I told them to give me their supervisors # and to put that behind the counter because I would be coming back to buy that at the price on the tag....oh you should have seen the look on their faces when I was back in 30 minutes after a phone call to the corporate office. Sweet justice. ;)

Purolator is very strict when it comes to that. Too many Dells and cell phones went mising in Canada at the pickup counters so they tightened the rules.
