best software for small mailing list

what is the best free desktop software for a small mailing list? it has to take a list of emails and names and then send the right email to the right name etc.

hmm i am only sending a few hundred so no need for anything hardcore.

Does anyone on this board know anything besides dark mailer? I'm just curious, that's the worst piece of crap software I've ever seen and it's all I ever see people talking about here.
