Yep. I finally fixed SOME of ICQ's problems when I moved over to Trillian. Still issues re ICQ "orphan" contacts though,

As I said many years ago - I wouldn't mind paying for an advanced or supported version of ICQ... it's for biz you know. $100-200.00 per year or something, np.

That being said, http://www.jabber.org/ is the IM client I personally prefer. Why? Because it allows you to use The GNU Privacy Guard to prevent evil bastards from eavesdropping.

It is very easy for third parties to log and read your MSN and ICQ conversations.

Just got hit up by smeone in my list and it has the archived history saved.

Fingers crossed this gets fixed soon and there's no real loss other than the time I'm wasting waiting for it to re-populate contacts right now

I know - Dammit some guy from London just emailed me asking why I don't answer my icq's, damm people can't even wait a few minutes...

Everything's kosher with me my man. Oldest daughter starts at the U of O in Sept, family is going ok, and taking the rv out this weekend (finally) for it's first trip of the year. Seaside should be nice. Biz, what can I say - swamped as always!!

I was having trouble, it showed me online, but everyone else offline. I then changed my settings to uncheck the "keep connection alive" and restarted it, and it worked . . . could just be coincidental

Very proud!

He'll learn about his heritage but we're not a religious family. We're very open minded in terms of what he'll be exposed to in a theological sense though. The kid will have "choices".
