Do you think for a second Motorola's financial wizards didn't go over Worldgate's books 50 times already? If Motorola likes it - there's no reason to look for excuses in WGAT's financials. The company did not start selling for crying out loud. Who are we on GFY to say Worldgate's financials make it a bad investment when a powerhouse such as Motorola is in bed with the company and sees it as an integral part of their Connected Home multimillion dollar vision?

You are assuming that large companies don't make bad investments... That is silly I think I (even being on GFY) can say these sort of things because a) I work in telecom with startup companies, and b) I've seen *extremely* large corporations in telecom back companies that they shouldn't have (one I used to work for in fact).

Motorola is a *giant* company... WGAT has a market cap of 152 million dollars This is just a VC bet to Motorola, no big loss if it fucks up on their end. On your end, as an investor in the small company, the loss is real.

If you are rich enough to make giant bets, then run with it! It might pay off. But, then again, you might lose it all.

What in the world are you talking about!

I mean, sure, they could buy them.. but where are you pulling 1:1 from? That simply makes no sense.

I don't know how many shares of WGAT there are, but I have to imagine there are many millions (since one insider alone holds 5 million). Let's say for discussion that there are 100 million shares. If the company was deemed to be worth 100 million dollars, then each share would get a buck. That's how it works. Not.. "Well, we really like you so we will just give you one share of our stock for each of yours, it's easier that way"

Great buying opportunities for newcomers. My cost avg so far is $3.8, so I'm still holding them tight. Maybe I should have sold at $6 and come back later - but then again - I don't have a crystal ball. IMHO this is a *great* long-term position and will not be surprised to see double-digits within a month or two after the Ojo is at your local Ultimate Electronics shop. There are enough companies to daytrade with their shares, and I'm not doing so with WGAT.

http://www.wallst.net/ interviewed the CEO today. "Is Ojo An End Game For Telephony?" on the front page. Check it out. It will answer your questions over the past week.

Ojos on the shelves at retailers within a few weeks.

Well, the difference between an Ojo and a Motorola Razr, is that you can use a Razrs features to talk to most of your friends. There is already a market for cellphones, there isn't an existing market for VOIP video phones. It's a bad analogy.

What these guys need is a partnership with someone like Vonage or another company that is pushing VOIP bigtime. I'm not sure what the Ojo $15/month fee is for... are they trying to become a VOIP company themselves too? (I hope not). Azguy: any ideas on what thats for?

With all my negativity towards this company, I *do* think you will see a nice pop whenever they *really* ship these things. When you can go to a store and buy one, the hype alone will drive the price up. (not that this makes the price sustainable).

I might get into a small position in a day or two just to play day trader for a bit.

                            Award-Winning Features

The Consumer Electronics Association honored the Motorola Ojo Personal Video Phone with a "2005 Best of Innovations in Design and Engineering" award for simplifying the complex technology of video telephony. Here are five key features of the Motorola Ojo Personal Video Phone:

FULL MOTION VIDEO -- Motorola Ojo captures and sends full motion video at
30 frames per second, motion that's near broadcast-TV quality. Your voice
remains synchronized to your image, even as the transmission travels over
                            the Internet.

INNOVATIVE DESIGN -- The innovative, stylish and functional design makes
it a perfect addition to any room in the home, from the kitchen to the
office. The elevated (eye-level), portrait-oriented LCD digital display
(7"diagonal) and camera placement create an experience that is natural and
                            true-to-life.

ON-SCREEN CONTROLS -- The on-screen menu system makes it easy to make
calls and manage your phone numbers. You can attach an image to any
contact in the phone book, so you can "dial by face," or get picture
caller ID when Ojo rings. During calls, the display features a small self-
viewer, to see how you are positioned in front of the camera, and know
exactly what the other party is viewing.

INTEGRATED CORDLESS PHONE -- Use the integrated cordless handset to make
voice-only calls using either the public service telephone network (PSTN)
or a voice-over-IP (VoIP) network(1). Motorola Ojo also includes a high-
                            quality, full-duplex speaker phone.

EASY SET-UP -- Motorola Ojo easily connects to your high-speed Internet
and telephone lines and is immediately ready to send or receive calls.
There are no user names, passwords, or logon procedures to learn.

Motorola worked with WorldGate Communications (Nasdaq: WGAT, http://www.wgate.com), a leading developer of video telephony technologies, to bring the Ojo Personal Videophone to market. WorldGate's patent-pending innovations for Ojo include a state-of-the-art optimization of the advanced MPEG-4 coding standard (H.264), which enables transmission of 30 frames-per- second video with synchronized audio at data rates as low as 100 Kbps. This allows Motorola Ojo to work within the upstream data rates for both DSL and cable broadband networks, and ensures that existing broadband infrastructures can handle video phone traffic.

The Motorola Ojo(TM) Personal Video Phone (Model PVP1000) carries an MSRP of $799.99(2). Monthly service fees apply. To order Motorola Ojo, visit http://www.motorola.com/ojo .

                            (1) Residential PSTN or voice-over-IP telephone service is required for
                            voice-only calls.

                            (2) Residential broadband service is required for video telephony calls.
A monthly service fee of $14.95 is required to send and receive video
                            calls.

Damn, I was gonna join Scottrade and just toss a hundred bucks onto the stock as my first trade, but you need a $500 balance to start and I don't have that much in that account right now.

                              Boo..

It won't sell any big numbers, it's too early, too complicated, too much.

That's why you will buy the stock at $60 instead of $4 People like you missed on Intel, Microsoft, and all the rest

Doesn't matter The new money will come, people are just waiting to actually see it in a store or getting an actual figure as far as the demand / early sales are concerned. I don't mind waiting. If Motorola is serious about it, so am I.

Motorola just updated the Ojo website. The new site has much more information than it used, including the much-needed FAQ section and the Ojo specs & manuals. You can already place orders online.

As you may know, the Ojo is already available as of last week at a few high-end retailers as part of Motorola's soft-launch strategy.

WGAT's days as a single-digit stock are numbered, IMHO. I'm patient.

It seems to me like some 500 or so Ojo-related domains were registered in the past month alone.. LOL. I got about 50 of them. Ojos will be HOT, especially when the demand for Ojo live porn is here.

                                                  OjoBlog.com is almost ready...

It just takes time to get used to it IMHO. There are so many applications for it - from live phone sex to seeing the kids every morning, who are in the custody of the ex-wive. Ojo is HOT.

It's a fucking telephone! The domains I've seen listed aren't even good if there was a big demand for some ungodly reason
Again, I secured ~ 55 domains and sold one today for $500 which covered most of the expenses for the rest, so I don't worry.. I basically got them all for free. I really like Ojo and I'm a BIG believer and continusouly research and discuss it with others, so wouldn't mind spending a weekend or two developing OjoBlog.com or OjoGuide.com just for fun.
