Fuck yeah you can. The retail HDD has enough space for a few games, but it doesn't take much to install a new, larger HDD. I keep most of my stuff stored on one of my PCs. Since the XBox is in the network, I just FTP the files to the XBox and play. This goes for movies, music and games.

As for the mod itself, you can install a chip or there are a few ways to go about doing it without having to crack your console open. The softmodding process (without modchip) can be done in about 5 minutes if you have the needed pieces.

Rumor has it at somewhere between $249 and $299.

$299 is probably the price point they're going to shoot for, but I'm guessing something along the lines of $349.

I only uses Avalaunch because there's a pimp Jenna J skin that goes good with the colors in my TV room.
