    Is The $600 Yahoo Listing A Good Value? How is Yahoo's traffic?

    I'm thinking about purchasing a directory listing in Yahoo, it's $600 a year for adult sites. Is there anyone who can let me know if this is a good value. I'm definitely leaning towards getting it though.

    How does Yahoo traffic perform for you?

                  Well if a member is worth $50 to you, then you'd need 12 joins to break even.

                  I think you'd be able to do better than 1 / month - but I haven't had a listing for a few years so I don't know for sure.

                      i bought one , got like 50 hits in a year took like months to get listed , support was juvenile..

                      then i build some splogs and got top listings for free with millions of hits per year.. go figure

                                                          Ironically, a yahoo directory listing will help you to get higher google PR if you are listed in a category with high PR.

                                                              Ever run across Y Directory in SE results when you search for shit?

                                                              If you are expecting "performance" or ROI in the form of conversions, from any directory listing, you will most likely be dissapointed.

                                                                      you'll find a domain name thats listed in dmoz available to be registered now faster than you'll get a editor to list your site.

                                                                      far as yahoo directory listing goes, it just give your site some credibility since it's a link from an authority site. Maybe some pr too.

                                                                      most likely you want get any traffic YD but if it help you rank faster/higher for good keywords then IMHO it's worth it.
